Emily FrigAard

ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL COUNSELOR

Before joining Serene Pathways, Emily worked at a crisis center counseling survivors of sexual assault and rape. In addition to her work in rape crisis counseling, she worked extensively with clients providing support as they navigate challenging stressors and emotions. She is skilled in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering tailored and compassionate care.

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care, as well as a narrative approach, Emily is dedicated to helping clients process difficult emotions while delivering personalized treatment. She creates a secure, accepting environment where clients can openly express their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. By working collaboratively, she helps clients develop effective strategies for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Her primary goal is to empower clients to cultivate self-awareness, enhance interpersonal relationships, and lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

Emily received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on childhood and adolescent disorders from Grand Canyon University. Emily practices under the supervision of Desiree Hernandez, LCSW.
