Cynthia Tobin, LCSW, CSW-PIP, QMHP

Cynthia received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Sioux Falls in 2011. She went on to complete her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of South Dakota in 2013. Cynthia is licensed by the South Dakota Board of Examiners and California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Throughout her 13 years of professional experience, she has worked with a variety of populations, which has been beneficial to her therapeutic role. She has worked with infants, young people, adults, geriatric and end of life in residential treatment facilities, shelters, indirect statewide support, inpatient and outpatient medical settings. After working in an outpatient hospital setting prior and throughout the midst of COVID, Cynthia decided to transition into formal counseling in 2022. Before joining Serene Pathways, Cynthia worked in a group practice and private practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Cynthia specializes in anxiety, depression, stress management, life transition, acute/chronic illnesses, trauma, grief & loss, relationship stressors, burn-out, childhood issues, first generation immigration stressors. She utilizes strength's based perspective, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Gottman method strategies, solution-focused approaches. Cynthia enjoys collaborating with clients to understand their obstacles and identify ways of overcoming them.
